Dark Roast Espresso, ARDITO Riserva Nero

Riserva Nero is a dark-roast espresso blend with dark chocolate, molasses, toasted almond, and cedar notes. Brazil supplies chocolate and sweetness. Sumatra adds body and depth. Colombia keeps the finish balanced. The cup is full-bodied, low in acidity, and built for rich crema.

Best for: Straight espresso, doppio, cortado, cappuccino, drip coffee, and French press.

Every green coffee lot used in Nero is independently third-party tested for mycotoxins, mold, yeast, and heavy metals before roasting. Only lots that pass enter our roastery.

Nero is roasted in small batches in Dearborn, Michigan. The roast date is printed on every bag, and orders ship within days of roasting.

  • Brazil: Cooxupé cooperative, Mogiana region. Natural process, 800 to 1,200 masl, Bourbon and Mondo Novo varieties. Fine Cup, Strictly Soft grade with a strict 17/18 large-bean screen, dried on patios and finished at the cooperative’s dry mill. This coffee provides the chocolate base.
  • Sumatra: Fair Trade organic Mandheling from 928 smallholder farmers organized around PT IKA in Atu Lintang, Aceh. Wet hulled in the traditional Giling Basah style, 1,500 to 1,600 masl, with Bourbon, Catimor, and Typica varieties. This component adds body and depth.
  • Colombia: El Tiple lot from small family farms around Pitalito, Huila. Washed process, 1,500 to 1,800 masl, Excelso EP grade. This component contributes sweetness and a balanced finish.

Built for Espresso

Nero is developed for stable extraction, full body, and crema. Straight shots emphasize dark chocolate and molasses. In a cortado or cappuccino, the coffee remains distinct through milk. Drip and French press bring forward toasted almond and cedar with a smooth finish.
